Refrigerator repair service

Refrigerator Tips

  • Clean your condenser (located under or at the back of your refrigerator) with a cleaning brush and vacuum every six months
  • Clean your door seal with warm water only
  • Insert a thin sheet of paper between the door seal and the inner compartment - if pulling the paper out is difficult, you've confirmed you have a tight seal and that cool air is not being wasted
  • Keep your temperature controls in the middle of the adjustment, as this should be more than enough to keep it working properly

  • Use a rinse aid for better dishwasher performance and to prevent spots on your dishes
  • Keep your rinse aid dispenser full
  • Don't overfill your detergent dispenser, as you could break the dispenser door when pushing it closed

Washer repair service

Washer Tips

  • Watch the water hoses in the back of your machine for signs of bulging or cracking - any damage could cause a leak, or the hoses could burst and flood your home, causing a lot of water damage
  • Do not overload your washer, as this leads to problems, including putting the washer out-of-balance which ends up making a lot of noise
  • Keep your washer level - adjust the bottom legs so it's level, this will help keep the rotating drum balanced

Dryer repair service

Dryer Tips

If you are having long drying times, lint buildup could be the problem. You should clean your removable vent screen of lint before each load. The dryer’s entire venting system should be cleaned out from the inside of the dryer to the outside vent cap at least once per year. You can run a 10 to 20-foot cleaning brush through the exhaust tube to clean it. If not cleaned, your tube could become too clogged with lint, which could cause a fire.

For faster drying times, try installing straight aluminum tubing. This type of tube makes the venting less restrictive, which, in turn, provides better performance and more efficiency.

Range, Cooktop, and Oven Tips

  • To clean your range, cooktop, or stone, you should use a light-duty cleaner or simply soap and water on a rag, nothing harsh and abrasive
  • When cleaning gas stove tops, be careful not to get the flame ignitor wet or dirty, as it could short out and stop working
  • Don't let spills stain the appliance - clean any spills right away, as surfaces that get hot are more likely to stain
  • The front oven glass should only be cleaned when cool, not hot
  • If your oven is self-cleaning, carefully follow the manufacturer’s self-cleaning instructions, as the oven uses very high heat during the cleaning process
  • Do not leave the chrome racks in the oven during self-cleaning mode, as they will discolor and warp from the high heat
